ARD-HD-Livestream ruckelt stark

    Hallo,

    ich habe nun seit einigen Jahren meinen RPi2 mit LibreELEC ((official): 9.1.501 (RPi2.arm), 18.4-Leia) laufen und schaue mit IPTV Simple Client fern. Das klappt auch sehr gut, nun gibt es seit längerer Zeit ein Problem mit dem Ersten - alle anderen Sender laufen problemlos.
    Die ersten paar Sekunden laufen stabil und ohne Ruckler. Dann aber sehe ich für ein paar Sekunden ein Bild, dann wieder das neue usw...

    Um das Einzugrenzen, neben [definition=12,4][definition='1','3']Debug[/definition][/definition][definition='1','0']log[/definition] (meine Warnung, immer vorher prüfen, ob nicht Passwort drin, oder andere private Info, die du nicht preisgeben möchtest), würde ich noch folgendes probieren. Funktioniert der Stream in deinem LAN mit anderem Gerät einwandfrei, z.B. VLC auf PC. Dort Strg+N, und das rein pasten

    Mit Strg+J man nachsehen, welche Auflösung gewählt wird. Wenn alles gut ist, sollte 1920 gewählt sein, und problemlos laufen.

    Auf dem Raspi folgendes als lokale .m3u im IPTV Simple PVR Client konfigurieren (oder einfügen in deine vorhandene kodinerds.m3u)


    Hier kann man einzeln die verschiedenen Auflösungen auswählen. Alle sollten einwandfrei funktionieren. Tun es alle bis auf die höchste Auflösung?

    Und als letzter Trick - alle https oben durch http ersetzen. Besserung dadurch?

    Kann schon sein, dass es an der CPU liegt, wie von @darkside40 vermutet. Kommt halt auch immer drauf an, ob die CPU in kleinen "Bursts" gebraucht wird, und ob vielleicht die Hauptlast nicht auf mehrere Threads/Cores aufgeteilt wird.

    Ok, ich habe das [definition=12,2]debugging[/definition] laufen lassen, jetzt ist die .[definition='1','0']log[/definition] 129MB groß... 90% besteht aber aus folgenden Zeilen:

    Vielleicht reicht das ja bevor ich die riesen Datei hochlade..?

    Während des debuggings ist ja oben links auch die CPU-Auslastung und die fps angezeigt. Beides ist beim ARD und dem ZDF Stream nahezu identisch. Ich sehe dort zumindest keine nennenswerten Unterschiede.

    so, hat etwas gedauert, zu viel Arbeit...

    Aber: Problem gelöst!
    Es liegt tatsächlich an der Auflösung. Wenn ich es richtig verstanden habe, hat sich in der letzten Zeit der ARD-Livestream auf 1920 geändert. Das muss dann der Zeitpunkt gewesen sein, ab dem es nicht mehr ruckelfrei funktionierte. Ich gucke leider etwas zu wenig :)

    Die anderen Auflösungen sind allesamt völlig ok, nur bei 1920 ruckelt es wie beschrieben.

    Ist etwas schade das ich jetzt mit einer lokalen m3u arbeiten muss, aber da ich die meisten Sender eh nicht gucke, wird sich der Aufwand in Grenzen halten. Jetzt muss ich nur noch schauen, ob ich den 1280 oder 960er nehme denn beim 1. Schauen habe ich nicht so den Unterschied gesehen.

    Die Idee hinter Hypertext-Live-Streaming mit verschiedenen Auflösungen/Bandbreiten-Anforderungen in einem "Master-Manifest" ist eigentlich, dass genau das nicht passiert, was du gesehen hast. Es sollte automatisch eine Auflösung selektiert werden, durch die Abspiel-SW, die in der aktuellen Situation gut funktioniert. (Geht bisweilen sogar im Zug mit schnell wechselnden Empfangs-Konditionen.)

    Möglicherweise noch interessant rauszufinden, woran es liegt. 2 Punkte (http, VLC) hatte ich ja in meinem Beitrag genannt. Kann man auch noch im Browser testen - live.daserste.de - da wird im Endeffekt das identische Master-Manifest (die master.m3u8 URL) angezapft. Die Player direkt im Browser funktionieren erstaunlich gut ...

    Funktioniert ServusTV aus der kodinerdsl-m3u bei dir gut? Hat ähnliche Anforderungen wie das Erste.

    Je nach Ergebnis, kann man ggf. den Entwicklern stecken, dass die HLS-Stream-Selektion nicht wie eigentlich vorgesehen in Kodi funktioniert.

    Sorry, ja, mit http hatte es keine Besserung.

    Und ja, ServusTV läuft ohne ruckeln (wenn du den Stream aus der kodi.m3u meinst, die kodinerdsl-m3u kenne ich nicht)

    Das Ganze im Browser oder mit VLC testen geht, ich kann es nur nicht mit dem RPi machen weil da entsprechendes nicht drauf ist.
    Ich würde aber für mein Setting nicht ausschließen, dass die Kiste, die nun wirklich so schon seit Jahren läuft, einfach hier und da nicht auf Leistung getrimmt ist. Eine Neuinstallation habe ich immer wieder mal angedacht, solange es noch läuft, würde ich es aber noch nicht machen. Noch ist also die Schmerzgrenze nicht erreicht ;)
