[Release] PVR EON.tv

  • Compile on Rpi4 directly!

It worked on RPi4 with Raspbian 64 bit where I could generate the Omega linux.aarch64 21.7.9 version, big thank you !

However, when adding the addon in LibreElec 12.0.1, I get the same error as when I download the Nexus linux.aarch64 version from the page here (with LibreElec 11.0.6), independant of the credentials (which are correct and work on RPI2B as well as on google tv chromecast 4k).

During install or when I try to enable it, it says "PVR clients: EON PVR client", "Add-on couldn't be loaded. An unknown error has occurred". It does not create a device serial neither (while usually it gets created, ps: I'm using sbb). What should I do against it, did anybody experience the same error ?

    Many thanks in advance !

Anybody had the same issue and could solve it ? 🙂

  • Hi.

I have a weird issue with EPG. I don't know if it's directly related to this addon. I have a SBB subscription, use latest Kodi 21, and also the latest version of addon.

I've disabled some channels that I don't use, and also some channel groups, though Kodi channel and group managers. And it works fine. They are not showing up in EPG. But the only empty channel group (for Adults, no subscribed channels) keeps showing up in EPG, after every new start of Kodi. When I disable it, it does not show up, but after I exit Kodi and later start it again, it's in EPG again. I used few past version of addon, but to no avail.

Does anyone have an idea why is this happening? Thanks

  • pvr.eon.21.7.8.linux.x86 release from first page is actually linux-aarch64 for rpi, and works with RPi 4 and LibreELEC (Omega) 12.0.1...

Thanks, the file you indicated installs, but I get the same error ! (Addon couldn't be loaded ...) And again NO SERIAL is being created and KODI crashes and reboots every time I try to enable it.

Even if I add a serial (from RPI2B), it doesn't work. Is something wrong with LibreElec 12.0.1 for RPI4, I use the LibreElec app in Windows 11 to create write the image onto the SD card ?

I also downloaded dEXE's repository, installed it and then within the repository installed PVR EON 21.7.8+linux-x86 - same error and kodi crashing & rebooting automatically.

  • Hello!

I've been using this add-on on Fire cube for some time and it's been working pretty good. The only problem I have is fast forwarding a time shifted shows. For example, I find a show from 2 days ago in EPG and play it. The part I want to watch is in the middle of the show, so I start fast forwarding/skipping. Now, I can fast forward/skip only few seconds at a time, because progress bar shows only 10-15 seconds as show duration. Is there a way (a setting, or something like that) that would allow time shifted programs to buffer as whole, not just next 15 seconds?

    Best regards,

    Davor

I'm sorry, it's still my mistake. I thought that version x86 worked on rpi4 because I was updating it, but after restarting, it threw an error. It was fixed in the repository that it does not offer an update. The last valid version for rpi4/rpi5 is 21.7.6+linux-aarch64, which I compiled and which surely works...

Unfortunately not. This is a proprietary mechanism which is not compatible to a Kodi standard.

  • Is anyone having issues with Radio channels provided by Eon? I am getting 403 forbidden for some reason, on the Web portal and Smart TV they play fine:

  • Hello, i saw some old discussion about compiling the addon for 32-bit CPU. Did anyone manage to do it? I got a new Homatics 4k box and didn't know it had a 32-bit CPU arch. The addon doesn't start in Coreelec:

    Architecture: aarch64
    CPU op-mode(s): 32-bit, 64-bit
    Byte Order: Little Endian
    CPU(s): 4
    On-line CPU(s) list: 0-3
    Vendor ID: ARM
    Model name: Cortex-A55

error <general>: Unable to load /storage/.kodi/addons/pvr.eon/pvr.eon.so.21.7.9, reason: /storage/.kodi/addons/pvr.eon/pvr.eon.so.21.7.9: wrong ELF class: ELFCLASS32

  • I think you need 64bit arch. So compile for Linux aarch64. But I think nobody did this so far.

In case it is android there is a version for Android aarch 64 as well as for Android 32bit

Yes, the addon works great on the Android side of this box, just not Linux :) I will try to recompile it on my Ubuntu VM.
