Abspielen von iso Dateien nicht immer möglich.

    Hallo,

    ich habe bei einigen neuen Filmen das Problem, dass Kodi die iso Dateien nicht abspielt.

    Bisher habe ich noch nicht herausfinden können woran das liegt.
    An der Größe der iso Datei kann es eigentlich nicht liegen.

    Jack Reacher - Kein Weg zurück (2016) läuft zum Bespiel problemlos.
    Hingegen laufen Collateral Beauty (2016) und Fences (2016) nicht.

    Bin ich da alleine mit dem Problem? Oder gibt es dazu schon eine Lösung?

    Hatte vorgestern auch noch auf Kodi 17.3 aktualisiert.

    Leider bin ich nicht der Experte, was den VideoPlayer bzw. ISO Handling angeht - sorry.

    Aber vielleicht schaut sich ja noch jemand anderes den Thread mal an - und wenn Du ein neues Log hochgeladen hast, sieht man vielleicht auch mehr :)

    Ich hab aktuell ähnliches Problem ich nutze eigentlich nur DVD 1:1 rips und da war der erste Film der Probleme machte facke You Goethe 2
    Hab ich mir dann die Bluray Version besorgt und hatte dann keine Probe mehr weil ich da noch net wußte woran es lag

    Es hat wohl was mit any DVD zu tun und dem ks kopierschutz
    Und es sind alles Filme von constantin Film
    Es betrifft aber wohl nicht alle von denen den FyG 2 ist vom letzten jahr und der Film schweinskopf al dente ist vom Anfang dieses Jahres und der geht
    Die Serie shadowhunters ist auch von diesem jahr und die geht ist halt aber auch ne Serie ka ob daran liegt
    Mit anderer Software funst alles vlc, powerdvd, Mpc Hc alles getestet funst zu 100% mit Menüs und allem
    Kodi 16.1 ,17.0, 17,3 hab ich getestet geht nicht sowohl unter nem htpc (asrock j4205) als auch ner Android Kiste (himedia q10pro)
    Mit DVD Fab soll es wohl besser gehen aber der macht wohl andere Probleme hab versucht mit fab über die Version von any drüber zu bügeln schmeißt aber Fehlermeldung und das Programm kakt ab
    Wo ist der schuldige zu suchen kodi oder anydvd
    Vieleicht kodi18?

    Ich habe es so in Erinnerung, dass ISO-Dateien nicht abgespielt werden, sobald eine DTS-Tonspur enthalten ist. Ob dieses Problem jetzt noch aktuell ist, kann ich leider nicht genau sagen.

    Hello Pointe,

    the two root causes of your problems you describe are:

    1. the ISO format used for the film
    2. Screen Pass copy protection based on alternative playlists with the same play length that are part of the film and in consequence part of the ISO

    Both problems can be solved:

    • problem (1) can be fixed by re-packaging the film with ImgBurn. Therefore, you have to load the original ISO using e.g. via Virtual Clone Drive and copy it on your harddisk. Finally, re-create the ISO using ImgBurn. Instead, it would be better to improve the ISO handling and behaviour in Kodi directly to support the new ISO flavor and to prevent that step.
    • as the VideoPlayer of Kodi tries to detect the correct playlist of the main movie based on the play length and not based on its referenced movie sizes the 2nd problem can be fixed by manually reducing the playtime of the alternative playlists one second (see folder /BDMV/PLAYLIST). To find out the wrong and alternative playlists use BDinfo. The playlist editing itself could be done easily via BDedit. Before, you have to unpackage your ISO-formatted film of course.

    Both problems could be fixed sustainably by optimizing the

    • ISO
    • VideoPlayer

    behaviour in Kodi directly. It really would help reducing manual post-processing work. Maybe this information can give proposals to optimize both :)

    Wie hast du denn das ISO erstellt? Problem scheint wohl folgendes zu sein:


    libdvdread und libdvdnav machen da wohl ärger. Von daher die Frage wie das ISO erstellt worden ist. Ich habe mit ISO Playback unter Kodi 17.3 bisher noch keine Probleme gehabt. Weder mit BR-ISOs noch mit DVD-ISOs.

    Wertschätzung kostet nichts, aber sie ist von unschätzbarem Wert.

    We are not talking about BluRays. If you might have looked at the logfile, it fails to open the VIDEO_TS.IFO and VIDEO_TS.BUP which are files a DVD contains. So that´s not his problem. There are no /BDMV/PlAYLIST folders on a DVD.

    A BR has this playlist-folder containing playlist *.mpls files. Those refere to the streams-folder which most likely contains *.m2ts files. So you see, there aren´t VIDEO_TS files for a BR.

    I see the path where he stored his movies which is called smb://DS416PLAY/Bluray/Filme HD/. Don´t ask me why the user puts a DVD in a Bluray folder ;). But for the reason there are VIDEO_TS.* files, we´re obviously talking about DVDs and not BRs ;)

    Edit: And please let´s write in german if you are able to. We appreciate your help, but this is a german board. The same counts for forum.kodi.tv where you are asked for to write in english and we hav eto accept that. The problem is nothing personally, more that most users have difficulties understanding the english language. No offense :thumbup:
