Maven vs Official Kodi Build

Now that Kodi Omega has been released what, if anything, does using the Maven Kodinerds build provide that the official Kodi build does not?

If you are using Maven-Builds just for HDR/DV, you could use Omega from the Store.

I'm using Kodi on a Zidoo Z9X Pro. Does either build make better use of the hardware or would I still need to use the built-in Zidoo media player?
