There may be a development on CE kernel that may fix this issue, it may take sometime though to be sure.
I'll keep this thread up to date with the information.
Regarding Hyperion.ng configuration, yes it differs from hyperion, but you now have and web interface where everything can be configured and tested without the need to write in the json file.
All feedback and improvement is welcome.

I have not had a working version so far. But it's been half a year again.
Is there any hope that the slowdowns could be gone every 10-40min?
And is info / tutorials how the new config must look like?

Unfortunately the slowdowns are still present, it's a kernel issue not hyperion.ng.
I can help with the config, but please wait that I open the thread for it.
But, I want to search for a fix, if someone knows the whereabouts of the hyperion developers please let me know 
their forum is not that active anymore
