When using net.kodinerds.maven.kodi22.arm64-v8a-202412140243-eb2b2b69-master without any issues I can choose add files, then choose smb protocol. It sees disc connected to router, I can enter it (i can see main folders inside) and software asks for login and password. After putting all the data it goes inside the chosen folder.
In contrary, when using net.kodinerds.maven.kodi22.arm64-v8a-202508060203-85d756ed-master (fresh instal) it sees the disc connected to router, but asks for password after clicking on it (it does not show disc main folders), after confirmation of login data, software goes back to putting password (it is marked with red). The password is proper one.
i had omega version built december 2024. smb was working just fine. wanted to update to piers (latest version 08.2025) and now after update cannot login to router...
after removal of latest version and installation old omega version i can login and use files without issues.
something is wrong with newer version and smb protocol.
Hi, thanks. Yeah, I've narrowed it down to the files I was playing, either badly encoded or something else. I got a different version of the DV file, this it played with the aspect ratio correct/no cropping, but could not pause/rewind/forward or continue play, it has to start again. Other DV files I have dont do that, so its got to be the encoding or decoding issues. HDR10 files play fine.
I have the same problem - it is not possible to continue previously started DV file.
I own nvidia shield pro 2019 and have installed Kodinerds 20 v8a. IT is great in terms of dolby vision content
I think there is a bug about subtitles: after changing the subtitles language to Central europe (windows) initially subtitles are shown correctly, but if I close the Kodinerds app they are not shown when app is started again (subtitles are still turned on). only solution is to close the app completly in the android application panel and to start it again.
Is there other solution? I do not have this problem with regular Kodi.
